It's a 360 world, and I'm just playing in it

Yep, that's right, the Xbox 360 has arrived at the Flores household, as you can see by the umbiquitous gamertag now present in the right hand column of this blog. So far we have played a few of the arcade games, downloaded some demos, purchased NBA 2k6 (learning curve = steep), and setup the Media Center functionality, it rocks. So if you don't hear from me in the next few weeks you know where to find me. And a shout out to Jones, Gabe, Gene, and Dan...get one damnit, then we can play and it will be supafly. Later.

Same here, so far she's been resistant. You should call her and plead the case.

Ok, here's how you do it. This is key, so listen up. Tell them that with the Xbox they will be able to watch slideshows on the TV of pictures that are stored on your computer. YOu should also mention that you can store music on the hard-drive and play over your respective sound systems. Then tell them that there are easy games (Bejeweled, Hexic, Zuma, Marble Blast, etc...) that are cheap and that they may enjoy playing. Then tell them how incredibly cool wireless controllers are. Do not mention how much it costs.

Also, on a side note, one of the upcoming cheapie Xbox Live Arcade games is a 100% HD rendered version of Street Fighter II, and if you are a 20-something guy and that doesn't perk you up, then I don't want to know you, cause I'll go a Chun-Li on your ass.
